EASY HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM

I have made this recipe. Leaving out the vanilla would probably not change the texture of the ice cream, but you do need to use the strawberries or some other berries. Sometimes this works fine and sometimes it has ice crystals, but it tastes good.

Ingredients:

1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 c. pureed or mashed strawberries
Red food coloring (if desired)
2 c. whipping cream, whipped (do not use non-dairy whipped topping)

Directions:

In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Stir in strawberries and red food coloring (if desired). Fold in whipped cream. Pour into 9 x 5 inch loaf pan or other 2 quart container. Cover. Freeze 6 hours or until firm. Leftovers to freezer.
