How to make an Inside-Out Hot Brown Sandwich.This recipe was inspired by a sandwich I ordered at Wallace Station Restaurant in Versailles, Kentucky. It is similar to the famous Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich, which was invented by the Brown Hotel chef back in the 1920's. The Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich is an open-faced sandwich baked with Mornay Sauce over the top. The recipe for the sandwich has most of the same elements, but it is a closed sandwich that is grilled on the stove.
